Book a Sound Bath →

If you struggle with sleep, carry tension from the workday, or simply need a deep reset, a Sound Bath at Goyoga might be the most profound hour of your week. You lie down, close your eyes, and let the healing frequencies of crystal singing bowls, gongs, and overtone instruments wash over you. No experience needed - just the willingness to let go.

Our Sound Bath sessions are led by David Lepp and Kaia Karjatse, experienced sound therapists who use carefully tuned frequencies to activate your parasympathetic nervous system - the body's natural "rest and repair" mode. Participants regularly report falling asleep during sessions and experiencing the deepest sleep in months afterward.

Why Sound Bath works for sleep

Slows brainwaves from Beta (active) to Theta/Delta (deep rest) within minutes
Reduces cortisol levels - your body's stress hormone drops measurably
No physical movement required - accessible for everyone, any age or ability
Combined with Yoga Nidra for the deepest possible restorative effect

Sound Bath sessions run weekly on our evening schedule. Blankets, bolsters, and eye pillows are provided. Single class €18, or included in all multi-visit passes and memberships. Arrive 10 minutes early, wear comfortable clothing, and prepare to leave feeling deeply restored.

"I came for my insomnia. I stayed because it changed everything - my sleep, my stress, my whole relationship with rest. David's Sound Baths are magic."

The science of sound healing

Sound healing is not just about nice sounds. The vibrational frequencies produced by crystal singing bowls, gongs, and overtone instruments interact directly with your nervous system. Each bowl is tuned to a specific note, and when played together they create rich harmonic patterns that gently guide your brainwaves from the busy Beta state down into Theta - the same state your brain enters just before sleep. This is where deep restoration happens: muscle tension releases, your heart rate slows, and your body shifts into repair mode.

The gongs add another dimension. Their layered overtones wash over the body in waves, creating a full-body immersion that many people describe as floating. It is common for participants to drift into a deeply restorative sleep during sessions, and that is completely welcome. If you carry chronic stress or deal with anxiety, combining Sound Bath with other calming practices like yoga and meditation for stress relief can make a real difference. Some of our regulars also attend our monthly cacao ceremonies, where sound healing is woven into the ritual.

What to bring and expect

Dress in warm, comfortable layers. The studio is well ventilated but your body temperature can drop during deep relaxation, so socks and a long-sleeved top are a good idea. Blankets, bolsters, and eye pillows are provided, though you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. You will lie down on a yoga mat for the entire session - there is zero physical effort involved, making this accessible for every age and fitness level, including those who enjoy gentle yoga for seniors.

Sessions typically last 60 to 90 minutes. Arrive about 10 minutes early to set up your space and settle in. The studio at Narva mnt 7D has changing rooms with mirrors and hair dryers, plus two shower rooms. After the session, give yourself a few quiet minutes before heading back into the world. Many people find the effects continue into the evening and report sleeping more deeply than they have in weeks.
