Meditation and stress relief at Goyoga Tallinn

Yoga and Meditation for Stress Relief

Sound Baths, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, guided meditation. Your nervous system deserves a reset.

Find a Calming Class

Stress isn't just mental - it lives in your body. The tight jaw, the shallow breathing, the shoulders that sit near your ears. While talk therapy and medication help many people, there's growing scientific evidence that practices like yoga, meditation, and sound therapy directly regulate the nervous system, reducing cortisol and activating the parasympathetic ("rest and digest") response.

Practices that calm your nervous system

At Goyoga, we offer multiple pathways to stress relief. Each works differently, but all target the same goal: bringing your nervous system back to balance.

Sound Bath Meditation - Crystal bowls and gongs create frequencies that shift your brainwaves into deep relaxation
Yin Yoga - Slow, meditative holds that release stored tension from fascia and connective tissue
Yoga Nidra - Guided deep relaxation (yogic sleep) that can feel like hours of rest in 45 minutes
Meditation Yoga - Breathwork and mindfulness techniques you can take into daily life

Most of our calming classes are in the evenings, the perfect transition between work and rest. No experience needed - just come, lie down, and let the practice do its work. Start with our Studio Explorer Pass (29 EUR) to try 3 classes.

"I came to Goyoga during burnout. The Sound Baths and Yin classes gave me something medication couldn't - the ability to actually feel my body relax. Six months later, I'm a completely different person."

Stress relief practices at Goyoga

Different kinds of stress respond to different practices, and we offer several pathways at the studio. Yin Yoga is ideal for releasing deep-held tension in the hips, lower back, and shoulders - the places where stress physically lodges itself after long days. Guided meditation classes teach techniques you can carry into your daily life: breath awareness, body scanning, and simple mindfulness tools that help you catch stress before it spirals. Breathwork (pranayama) sessions focus specifically on the breath as a lever for your nervous system, teaching you to shift from fight-or-flight into calm within minutes.

For the deepest reset, our Sound Bath sessions use crystal bowls and gongs to bring your brainwaves into a restful Theta state - no effort required, just lie down and receive. Some people also find that our monthly cacao ceremonies offer a different kind of release, one that works through the heart rather than the body. All of these classes run in the evenings at our Narva mnt 7D studio, five minutes from Old Town.

Building a sustainable practice

The biggest mistake people make with stress management is going too hard too fast and then dropping off. A sustainable practice starts small. We recommend two classes per week to begin with - enough to feel a real shift, not so much that it becomes another thing on your to-do list. Try combining one active class (like Hatha or slow Vinyasa) with one restorative class (Yin, Sound Bath, or meditation). This balance keeps your body moving while giving your nervous system regular recovery time.

If you are new to the studio, the Explorer Pass is 29 EUR for 3 classes over 30 days. It gives you the chance to try different styles and teachers to find what genuinely works for you. Our gentle yoga classes are also a wonderful starting point for anyone who wants to move slowly and mindfully. The studio has natural oak floors, ventilated rooms, and space for up to 18 mats, so classes never feel crowded. Come as you are - there is no wrong way to begin.
